5 best wine bars of North Austin

LRG_DSC06471.JPGHello everyone! It’s been 2 years since we moved from Denver, CO to Austin, TX. As the city grows, so does my love for it. This is one of the reasons I have decided to share more about the city I am proud to call “home” now. We live in North Austin and we love it dearly. The city is famous for its parties on the 6th street, food trucks in Downtown and amazing restaurants in South Austin. So what’s left for the North? And do we have to drive all the way to the South to have a good night out? Not at all! Get ready for 5 best wine bars with delicious food in North Austin!

North Italia
When you try food authentic traditional food in Rome and Naples, you realize how much bad Italian food you tried before the trip. But you can also easily identify a good Italian restaurant. I feel like North Italia is a place to be when all you need is all things Italy – atmosphere, good wine, delicious food, and excellent service.
Must try: pizza Margaritha, fresh pasta, delicious tiramisu, and wine!

The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen
This restaurant has two locations: one in South Austin and one in Cedar Park. The second one is very close to the place where we live, so I have decided to add it to my list as well. “The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen” was love at first sip: the selection of wine is impressive. As well as decor: you can sit inside or enjoy their spacious patio. The waiters are attentive and try to make sure you have nothing but good time. What makes this place special is the quality and selection of food that goes very well with the wine.
Must try: start with a glass of wine (the waiters are also very knowledgeable, so you can trust their recommendations), bruschetta, cheese and meat board, and round it all up with creme brulee.

This Wine Bar is the one that brings us back to Italy. Most of the items on the menu are Italian classics, and, what is even more impressive – the chefs of the restaurant manage to deliver that unique taste of Italy. So, if you haven’t been to Rome but wonder what it tastes like – visit “Cedro Scratch Italian & Wine Bar”. No matter what part of the city you live in – the drive is worth it!
Must try: Arancini Risotto Balls, Fig Pizza, Grilled Asparagus and…. PASTA!

This wine bar is perfect for a date night or night out with friends. It’s small but cozy, with great specials and high-quality wine. It’s safe to say this place is a hidden gem of North Austin! When you plan your first visit, I would definitely recommend making a reservation for one of their dinners where you will be served a three-course meal paired with best wine!
Also, they run daily Happy Hours, so make sure to take advantage if that!

Their wine selection is extensive, so it’s perfect for wine flights as well as a half/full pour, or a bottle. The food menu is full of delicious and well-prepared tapas. The decor of the restaurants is fantastic, and you can always pick a table inside and enjoy the decor, or watch the sunset on their covered patio. Outstanding customer service like nowhere else is what makes this place different! Must visit in North Austin.
Make sure you try wine, give a try to their mussels, patatas bravas, and share a cheese board!
These are my favorite wine bars in North Austin, TX! I hope you enjoyed reading the post and will enjoy this part of the city as much as we do!
